Debate Club introduces students to the Middle School Debate Program and helps them develop the skills needed to compete in debate tournaments. Students will learn how to build strong arguments, think critically, speak confidently, and respond to opposing viewpoints.

Students are not required to compete in tournaments, but tournament participation is highly encouraged and is an important part of the debate experience.

Practice Schedule

Debate Club will meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning September 8 from 8:30-9:15 am, and will continue through late April. The club is open to students in all grade levels!

Tournament Schedule

Four debate tournaments will be held during the school year:

• October 10, 2026
• December 12, 2026
• February 20, 2027
• April 17, 2027

Whether you are an experienced debater or have never debated before, all students are welcome to join!

• Turn in an activity participation form to Ms. Kayla
• Pay the activity fee in Q (same as sports fee)
